- show your competence

terms of service

Currently, comp10 is under development. Because of this, it comes with absolutely no warranty. You use comp10 at your own risk.

If you install comp10, it does not request any data from Facebook apart from the name, the Facebook user id, the url of the Facebook profile, and your language (locale). Because this data is publicly available anyway, using comp10 does not pose any risk to your privacy. Not even your profile picture reaches our server. On some pages, comp10 tries to display the profile picture of the author of a non-anonymous question / answer. However, those pictures come directly from Facebook. Depending on your Facebook privacy settings, Facebook decides who can see your profile picture.

We recommend to submit questions and answers publicly and to publish them to your Facebook feed because this will keep your community informed about those activities. There will be more potential users to answer your questions and to give good grades for your answers. However, if you do not want anyone to know that the question / answer is yours, you can use the checkbox "anonymously", and you will nowhere be visibly linked to that question / answer.

The most involved part of comp10 is the evaluation system. Answering questions and receiving good ratings for that answers will let you reach higher levels in the associated knowledge fields. You can see your current levels on the "profile" tab. You can also add this competence profile to your Facebook profile. To do so, simply press the +-tab on your Facebook profile and choose "Competence". Now the visitors of your Facebook profile can appreciate the skills you proved at comp10. The Competence-tab will also include your latest non-anonymous questions and answers. You can always remove the Competence tab again by clicking on the pen next to "Competence" and by choosing "Delete tab".
